Forest bathing (also sometimes called forest therapy or Shinrin Yoku) provides you with the opportunity to slow down your mind and body to connect with the forest.
The sounds of the forest, the scent of the trees, the sunlight playing through the leaves, the fresh, clean air are things that give you a sense of comfort. They ease your stress and worry, and help you relax and think more clearly. Being in nature can restore your mood, give back your energy, vitality, and rejuvenate you.
The practice of forest bathing is proven to decrease blood pressure and cortisol levels, increase immunity, and feelings of well-being. The walk moves slowly, covering less than a mile in three hours.
Experience viewing invitations and suggestions to participate in various activities designed to deepen a forest nature connection throughout the walk.
A simple forest tea ceremony made with plants foraged from the land is offered at the close of the walk.
Dress for the weather and natural environments and bring a bottle of water. If you have allergies to plants or local honey, please email Infinity a week in advance so tea can be adjusted. Meet at Infinity and go from there to a nearby local forest.
