Akiko Soki Sato
Chanoyu, known in the West as tea ceremony, is based on the principles of Wa (harmony), Kei (respect), Sei (purity), and Jaku (tranquility). Experience deeper consciousness and tranquility through tea ceremony. This tea gathering is a New Year celebration of the year of the Tiger, 2010, with a table style of traditional Chanoyu. As a guest in this tea gathering, you will practice harmony, respect, and tranquility, all of which you can then apply to your personal and professional lives. All guests will be served Hanabira-mochi, a traditional Japanese New Year sweet and thin tea made from green powdered tea. Any level tea student will enjoy this wonderful opportunity to be a guest of a tea master. Join in to celebrate the year of the Tiger and start a great year. Space is limited. Register early.
