Guided movements, combined with directed attention, create the opportunity for profound physical improvements and increased mental clarity. Moshe Feldenkrais, a physicist, judo expert, and therapist, developed this gentle movement system. This remarkable approach is accomplished with directed attention that is an effortless graceful exercise. It helps you recognize patterns of thinking, feeling, and doing through conscious action. As your body awakens to increased awareness, you will experience greater ease in everyday movement, the reduction or elimination of pain, and more intelligent action through the self-organization of the central nervous system. Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing.

The hula hoops of years ago have inspired a whole new form of revolutionary fitness; Hoopdance. The hoops that you use in this class are bigger and heavier then the ones you remember as a child, enabling everyone, regardless of age, size, or rhythm to participate. Master the basic moves of hoopdance and then add to that foundation new tricks introduced every week. Hoops will be provided for the class and are available for purchase.
